Sedum nussbaumerianum is a stellar succulent with yellow evergreen foliage that forms star-like clusters that flush a brilliant orange in full sun. This award-winning succulent often goes by the name Coppertone Sedum and is prized for its vivid color and easy-care nature. The color and form of nussbaumerianum is striking when paired with the blue Senecio mandraliscae.
Coppertone Sedum forms a compact, somewhat trailing ground cover. It is an excellent choice for rock gardens, mixed succulent containers and hanging baskets where it will tumble over the edge. In spring, watch for clusters of starry white flowers to appear and beckon to local bees and butterflies.
Sedum nussbaumerianum is a low maintenance succulent that thrives in partial to full sun, but shows it’s best coloring in full sun. Be sure to provide fast-draining succulent soil and good drainage. Then, just enjoy the show!
